My family has vacationed at Beaver Lake for years. This area is very serene and makes you feel tucked away from society but it is still driving distance for my family.
They have beautiful cabins there and some of the best memories I have of my childhood were fishing and boating on the lake with my family.

Everyone else is writing about places that are once-in-a-lifetime visits! Don't get me wrong, visiting a place like Japan or the Netherlands is super cool, but there's something about a place that's just cozy and comfortable and feels like home! Bonus points if there's a dope lake to float around on sometimes!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Marielle! And here's a thought: nobody has ever done a project about beaver stories and legends in this class... who knows: maybe you will want to ponder that! As you can imagine, there are a lot of Native American stories about that remarkable animal: beaver stories at the Freebookapalooza :-)
